Is this you?

Does this sound like you?

Most people who choose personal training have tried to start before. Something about group classes, or about starting at all, didn’t fit.

Feels like

“I start strong, then life gets in the way.”

Joined, paid, and quietly stopped by week three.

  1. One-to-oneA fixed personal slot, a teacher who checks in, and a review every 4 weeks — so drifting is harder than showing up.
  2. You may noticeShowing up starts to feel easier than skipping.
Feels like

“I don’t know which practices are right for me.”

Saved videos, conflicting advice, no idea where to begin.

  1. One-to-oneWe assess first. Your plan is built for your body, goals and limits, not copied from a video.
  2. You may noticeConfidence that what you practise actually suits you.
Feels like

“In group classes, I feel lost at the back.”

Copying the person in front and hoping it’s right.

  1. One-to-oneAll of the teacher’s attention is on you. The pace is yours, and correction is continuous.
  2. You may noticeYou understand the why behind each posture, not just the shape.
Feels like

“My schedule changes every week.”

Batch times clash with meetings; missed classes pile up.

  1. One-to-oneBook slots week by week, and switch to live online sessions on busy or travel days.
  2. You may noticeA practice that bends around your calendar instead of breaking.
Feels like

“I’m stiff, unfit or nervous about starting.”

Worried you’ll be the least flexible person in the room.

  1. One-to-oneProps, modifications and a chair when needed — in private, with no one watching but your teacher.
  2. You may noticeStarting where you are feels allowed. Flexibility becomes where you end up.
Feels like

“I already practise, but I’ve plateaued.”

Same sequence, no correction, no clear next step.

  1. One-to-oneDetailed alignment work, deeper pranayama and meditation, or preparation for teacher training.
  2. You may noticeClear, individual next steps in your practice.

If one of these sounded like you, a 15-minute conversation is the simplest way to find out whether personal training fits. Have pain or a condition? Read when to check with your doctor first.

The Anahat method

Personal yoga training in Baner, built around your body — not a timetable

Every client starts with a conversation and a gentle assessment, not a workout. From there, your teacher builds a plan around your goals, limits and schedule, and adjusts it as your body responds — traditional roots, applied one person at a time.

  • Assess before you advance

Every plan starts from an assessment, and we re-assess every 4 weeks.

  • Whole practice, not just postures

Asana, pranayama, relaxation and simple lifestyle awareness, balanced for your goals.

  • Progress by readiness

We progress when your body is ready, not when a programme says so.

  • Educate for independence

You learn why, not just what, so you can practise safely on your own.

The service

What is personal yoga training?

Personal yoga training is one-to-one yoga guidance planned around a single person’s goals, body, experience and schedule. Each session combines postures, breathing, relaxation and education chosen for you, with continuous feedback and a plan that evolves as you progress.

Specific goals, limits, privacy, busy schedules

Group classes are wonderful, and we run them too. Many clients begin with personal sessions and later join a batch with confidence — see group timings.

What your first session feels like

  • A conversation before any movement
  • Gentle screening — never testing your limits
  • Props, modifications or a chair whenever you need them
  • You can pause, ask or stop at any time

Safety, built into every session

  • A health intake before the first session
  • Medical clearance requested where appropriate
  • “Discomfort is information; pain is a stop sign.” We never push through pain
  • Consent asked before any hands-on adjustment; verbal-only cueing is always available
  • Stronger practices (forceful breathing, advanced inversions) only after assessment

Who it’s for

Who personal yoga training is for

You don’t need to be flexible, fit or experienced. You need to want a practice that fits you.

Personal training welcomes you if…

  • You’re a busy professional whose calendar never matches a batch time
  • You’re a complete beginner and would rather learn privately, at your pace
  • You live with stiffness, an old injury or pain, and want a careful, adapted practice
  • You’re 55+ and want gentle work on mobility and balance, possibly at home
  • You’re postnatal, perimenopausal or simply want a private setting
  • You already practise and want detailed correction or teacher-training preparation
  • You live outside Pune and want live guidance, not another recorded app

Please speak with us (and your doctor) first if you…

  • Are pregnant or recently gave birth — see also our Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga classes
  • Are recovering from surgery or a recent injury
  • Have a heart condition, or high or low blood pressure
  • Have a respiratory or neurological condition
  • Are managing another ongoing condition, or take medication that affects balance or blood pressure

This does not necessarily mean you cannot start. It means we will adapt the practice for you, progress conservatively, and in some cases ask for your doctor’s clearance first. In every session: discomfort is information, pain is a stop sign.

Questions

Personal yoga training — frequently asked questions

What is included in personal yoga training?

Every client receives a free consultation, a health and lifestyle intake, an assessment session, a written personal plan, one-to-one guided sessions, a short home practice and a progress review every 4 weeks. Studio and home sessions include props.

Do I need any yoga experience?

No. Many personal-training clients are complete beginners. We start with your current comfort and mobility, explain every practice clearly and progress only when you are ready.

I am not flexible. Can I still start?

Yes. Flexibility is something yoga helps you work toward, not a requirement to begin. We use props, modified postures and, if needed, a chair so that every practice is accessible to you.

How is personal training different from a group class?

A group class follows one sequence for everyone. Personal training is planned around your goals, body and schedule, with the teacher’s full attention and continuous feedback. Group classes suit community and routine; personal training suits specific goals, limitations or privacy.

Can online personal training really correct my posture?

Yes, with the right setup. Your teacher watches you live, asks you to adjust camera angles when needed and guides you with precise verbal cues. Online sessions follow the same plan as studio sessions and include time for questions.

Do you offer personal yoga sessions at home in Baner, Balewadi or Wakad?

Yes. Our teachers visit homes in Baner, Balewadi, Wakad, Aundh and Pashan. Travel beyond this area may carry a small additional charge.

I have back pain or a medical condition. Is personal training safe for me?

Tell us about it during your consultation. We adapt the practice around your condition, progress conservatively and may ask for your doctor’s clearance first. Yoga complements medical care; it does not replace diagnosis or treatment.

How often should I have sessions?

Most clients begin with two or three sessions a week, plus a short home practice. We recommend a frequency after your assessment, based on your goals and schedule.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You can reschedule free of charge up to 12 hours before your session. Late cancellations may count as a used session.

How much does personal yoga training cost?

Fees depend on the format (studio, home or online) and the package you choose. We share exact pricing during the free 15-minute consultation, once we know what you need — there is no payment to talk.

What do I need for online sessions?

A phone, tablet or laptop with a stable connection, a clear mat-sized space, and a device stand placed two to three metres away. We send a short setup guide before your first session.

Can two people share a session?

Yes. Pair or small family sessions (two to three people) are possible when your goals are similar. Ask us during the consultation and we will suggest the right format.

Still have a question?

We usually reply on WhatsApp within the day.
