Is this your workplace?

Does any of this feel familiar?

Most organisations look at corporate yoga not because they want a fitness programme, but because the working day leaves little room to move, breathe or pause.

Sounds like

“Our team sits for most of the day.”

Long stretches at screens, meetings back to back.

  1. In a sessionSeated and standing movement for the neck, shoulders, back and hips, simple enough to repeat at a desk.
  2. Employees may noticeStiffness noticed sooner, and more reasons to get up during the day.
Sounds like

“The work is mentally demanding.”

Heads down for hours, rarely looking up.

  1. In a sessionA slow exhale and a short guided pause give the mind one simple thing to follow.
  2. Employees may noticeAn easier shift between tasks, and a practice to use before a difficult call.
Sounds like

“Breaks don’t really feel like breaks.”

Lunch at the desk, scrolling instead of resting.

  1. In a sessionA structured pause: move a little, breathe slowly, then a few minutes of stillness.
  2. Employees may noticeA clearer sense of what a restful break actually feels like.
Sounds like

“We want something the whole team can do together.”

Most team activities suit some people and leave others watching.

  1. In a sessionA group practice with an option at every level, so everyone can take part in their own way.
  2. Employees may noticeA shared, low-pressure activity that isn’t another meeting.
Sounds like

“Most of our people have never done yoga.”

Worries about flexibility, clothing or looking awkward.

  1. In a sessionPlain-language guidance, simple movements and nothing to perform or get right.
  2. Employees may noticeThat yoga can be accessible, even for complete beginners.
Sounds like

“Our team has mixed ages, fitness and health.”

One size never fits everyone.

  1. In a sessionChair and standing options for each practice, and stronger practices left out of group sessions.
  2. Employees may noticeConfidence to take part at their own level, or to sit out at any time.

If one of these sounded like your workplace, a conversation with our team is the simplest next step. Want to see what a session can include? Read the practice overview.

Yoga, adapted to work

Corporate yoga in Pune, planned around your team

Our corporate sessions follow the same careful, step-by-step approach we use in every class. Each one moves from settling in, to gentle movement and breathing, to a short period of stillness, with an option for every level. The format, length and focus are agreed with you before the first session, and stronger practices are kept out of mixed groups.

The practice

What is corporate yoga?

Corporate yoga brings guided yoga into the working week. Sessions for a team focus on gentle movement, breathing and short periods of stillness, adapted to people who spend much of their day seated, on screens and busy.

Yoga, adapted to the working day

Yoga has always been a practice for daily life. The Bhagavad Gita describes it as yogah karmasu kaushalam, skill in action. Corporate yoga takes that idea at face value: short, practical techniques that fit into the rhythm of a working day, rather than needing a retreat from it.

What actually happens in a session

Employees follow a teacher through simple seated and standing movement, breathing practices and a short guided relaxation. There is no strain, no competition and no need for previous experience, and anyone can sit out at any time.

What employees can expect

  • Mostly seated and standing work — no floor needed for many practices
  • Plain-language instruction; Sanskrit names explained
  • No flexibility, fitness or experience required
  • Anyone can rest, skip a practice or sit out at any time

Why movement breaks matter

The World Health Organization recommends limiting time spent sitting and replacing some of it with physical activity of any intensity, including light movement. A guided session makes that easier to start, and gives employees simple practices to repeat on their own.

Session content

Practices a corporate session can include

Not every session includes every practice. What is taught depends on your team, your space and the time available.

Level 1

Desk-friendly foundations

Suitable for most employees
  • Neck and shoulder release

Slow, seated movement for areas that tighten at a screen.

  • Wrist and hand mobility

Simple movements for people who type all day.

  • Seated spinal movement

Gentle bends and turns that can be done in a chair.

  • Standing stretches

Easy standing movements to break up long periods of sitting.

  • Natural breath awareness

Observing the breath without changing it.

  • Extended exhale breathing

    A longer out-breath for a calmer pause.

Level 2

Group practice

Where space and time allow
  • Simple standing sequences

A short flow linking movement with the breath.

  • Gentle alternate-nostril breathing

    Nadi shodhana, without breath retention.

  • Guided relaxation

A few minutes of structured rest, seated or lying down.

  • Short guided meditation

Simple attention practice that employees can repeat alone.

Level 3

Kept for individual classes

Not part of a mixed group session
  • Forceful breathing and retention

Such as kapalabhati, bhastrika or kumbhaka.

  • Advanced postures and inversions

Practices that need individual assessment and progression.

  • Condition-specific work

Better suited to individual or therapeutic classes.

In a mixed workplace group, a teacher cannot assess each person’s health, so these practices are kept out of corporate sessions. Employees who want to go further can continue in individual or small-group classes, where their teacher can guide them properly.

Who it’s for

Who our corporate yoga sessions are for

No one needs to be flexible or experienced. If employees can sit in a chair and follow a voice, they can take part.

Sessions suit…

  • HR and people teams planning an employee wellbeing activity
  • Founders and managers of small and growing teams
  • Teams whose work is largely desk- or screen-based
  • Mixed-age, mixed-experience groups, including complete beginners
  • Organisations looking for a calm activity for a wellness day
  • Companies that want practices employees can repeat on their own

Employees should check with their doctor first if they…

  • Are pregnant or recently gave birth — they may prefer our Prenatal Yoga class
  • Have a heart condition, or high or low blood pressure
  • Have had recent surgery or a recent injury
  • Have significant back, neck or joint pain
  • Have epilepsy or a history of fainting
  • Are under medical supervision or taking medication that affects balance or blood pressure

Participation should always be voluntary. In every session, anyone can rest, skip a practice or sit out, and employees can share concerns privately with the teacher. If anyone feels dizzy, unwell or uncomfortable, they should stop and return to natural breathing.

Questions

Corporate yoga — frequently asked questions

What is corporate yoga?

Corporate yoga is guided yoga for a team or organisation. Sessions focus on gentle movement, breathing and short periods of stillness, adapted for people who spend much of their working day seated and busy.

Do employees need previous yoga experience?

No. Sessions are designed for complete beginners as well as regular practitioners. Every practice is explained in plain language, and there is an easier option for each movement.

What does a typical session involve?

A session generally moves from settling in and breath awareness, to gentle seated and standing movement, to a short guided relaxation or meditation, and ends with one simple practice to use at the desk. The format and focus are agreed with you.

Can sessions work for mixed ages, fitness levels and health?

Yes. Chair and standing options are offered for each practice, stronger techniques are left out of group sessions, and anyone can rest or sit out. Employees with a health condition should check with their doctor first.

Can sessions take place at our workplace or online?

Please ask us. Where sessions take place, and whether online sessions suit your team, are confirmed when you enquire, so we can give you accurate details rather than a general promise.

Can sessions be tailored to our team?

Tell us about your team, your working pattern and what you hope sessions will offer, and we will discuss what we can plan for you.

What does the company need to arrange?

Usually a space where people can stand and move their arms freely, and chairs for seated practice. We will confirm anything else needed when we plan the session.

How is corporate yoga priced?

Corporate sessions are quoted individually for each organisation, based on what you need. There is no online checkout; enquire and we will share a custom quote.

Is participation safe for everyone?

Sessions are gentle and voluntary, but not every practice suits every person. Employees who are pregnant, have a heart or blood-pressure condition, recent surgery, significant pain or another medical concern should speak with their doctor before joining.

Is corporate yoga a replacement for occupational health support?

No. Corporate yoga is a complementary wellness activity. It does not replace medical care, physiotherapy, ergonomic assessment or mental-health support.

How do we enquire?

Use the form on this page, message us on WhatsApp, or call +91 98814 75758. Our studio hours are Mon–Sat, 6:00 AM – 8:30 PM. We will talk through your team and next steps before anything is agreed.
